Rating: 3.5/5

Broken Rules by Hanleigh Bradley is the first book in a three book series. It is a contemporary romance set in London and is a treat for romance lovers for sure.

Aurora Stone has led her life following a rigid set of rules dictated by her parents. Her sister chose to ignore them but Aurora, being the good girl as always, doesn't even think of it until a night at a bar where she is celebrating the return of her close friend. A glance at Landon and she somehow knows that she will be breaking a few rules with him. Landon, on the other hand, is a person who never sleeps with a woman twice but as it turns out, even he ends up breaking and twisting quite a few rules himself. Despite their personal indifference, they find themselves drawn towards each other without reservations until each one encounters a secret from the respective families. Where will their relationship go from here on?

The title is apt for the book because that is exactly what it is about. Breaking rules and finding that it doesn't necessarily have to be disastrous. Well, from the start the story is a nice romantic tale set in modern London. The narrative is interesting and fast paced. The writing style is perfect for a romance, not bogging you down with too many details.

Overall, a quick read for romance buffs and there is a continuation to the story, so you may want to keep the next book in the series ready with you!
